               Installing the Command Interceptor

To enable Command AntiVirus protection, you must install the Command 
Interceptor for Gordano Messaging Suite. These instructions can be
used to install it from the downloaded file or from the CD.


PRE-INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS

Prior to installing the Command Interceptor for Gordano Messaging
Suite, your system must:

   - Have Gordano Messaging Suite (formerly NTMail) V5 or higher
     installed
   - Have Gordano Anti-Virus Package (GMS AV) V5 or higher installed
   - Have the GMS AV activation key installed.

   NOTE:  If you do not have a GMS AV activation key, contact your
          sales representative.
    

INSTALLING THE COMMAND INTERCEPTOR FOR GORDANO MESSAGING SUITE

To install the Command Interceptor for Gordano Messagign Suite,
follow these steps:

   1.  Stop all of the GMS Services
   2.  Copy the program files for the Command Interceptor for Gordano
       to your GMS installation folder and place in a folder named
       Command, for example, C:\Gordano\bin\command.
   3.  In the GMS Configuration interface, Select Administration >
       GMS Anti-Virus > Scanner.
   4.  From the Select Scanner drop-down list, select GMS Anti-Virus
       and click SET.

       NOTE:  If you want to set the action when a virus is found to
              Disinfect, click the ACTIONS tab, and select the
              appropriate actions. If you make any selections, we
              recommend that you also select SCAN INLINE TEXT. Click
              UPDATE to accept the changes.

   8.  Restart your computer.
