Step #2
Consider workstation/server locations for the ESP Management
Console to reside and where the client files will be held (Note:
Users will require READ access, Administrator will need
READ/WRITE access).

Install ESP2 Management Console using the download from #1 onto
the chosen workstation/server (Recommendation: The Network
Administrators Workstation)

Once ESP2 Management Console is installed the ADMIN SETTINGS
console is launched. Here you will enter various information to
get ESP2 running:

#DOWNLOAD UPDATES TO - Insert or browse to the folder you have
chosen in #2 which will host the downloaded client files and
updates. (Recommendation: Server folder which your Users have
READ access)
#CLIENT DOWNLOAD LOCATION - Insert the folder you have chosen in
#DOWNLOAD UPDATES (Strongly recommend UNC path!) (NOTE#1: This
is the SAME folder as #DOWNLOAD UPDATES TO!) (NOTE#2: If you
have set #DOWNLOAD UPDATES TO to a non local location we
recommend you amend the account the ESPL ENTERPRISE UPDATE
SERVICE is using via Services.msc to a Domain Admin Account!)
#LICENCE KEY - Insert Key (Recommendation: Cut and Paste from
licence email to avoid 'typo')
#LAST UPDATE - Leave as default
#UPDATE INTERVAL - Set time interval for update check
(Default=60)
#DOWNLOAD CORE FILES - Default=Yes (See Step#1 if you wish to
download manually)
#WRITE INFORMATIONAL MESSAGES - Up to user preferences
(Default=No)

'DO NOT USE AUTHENTIUM 'PUSH' Technology… - Check this box if
you have or intend to deploy via command line or batch file!
#USER ACCOUNT - Insert known usable Domain Administation account
that has local administrative access to your workstations
(FORMAT: DOMAIN\USERNAME)
#ACCOUNT PASSWORD - Insert. Ensure correctly typed.
#INSTALLER FILE - Leave as default (NOTE#3: 'CREATE FILE' - This
is used to create a Batch file) - Screenshot
#INSTALLATION PARAMETERS - Ensure command line unc path
correlates with the path in #CLIENT DOWNLOAD LOCATION setting to
avoid install failure. (NOTE#4: 'CREATE DISK' - This is used to
create fileset for CD client install)

#HOME PAGE FOR CONSOLE - Leave as default unless specific
branding required.
#ICON - Leave as default unless specific branding required.
#COMPANY NAME - Insert your own Company or leave blank.

Click SAVE to save the settings once happy and ensured correct.
Step #6
Recommend leaving the console to attach to the Authentium AMS
Servers, verify key and allow time for the client download files
to download fully. (Recommendation: Allow >10mins)
Step #7
Check Client files have populated in the '#DOWNLOAD UPDATES TO'
location from #4.

Step #8
Now open the ESP2 Management Console, a ADD NEW GROUP wizard
will start. (You can add additional groups by clicking
MANAGEMENT/GROUPS/CREATE to add a Group. Give name and OK.)

Step #9
Highlight Group and click MANAGEMENT/COMPUTERS/ADD to add
computer(s) to this new group.
Step #10
Highlight Group and click MANAGEMENT/ESP MODULES/ADD to add
modules(s) to this new group. (Note: If no modules shown this
means the key you have entered does not include ESP module(s).
Please Procure ESP Modules via PROCURE MODULES (top right of the
default Home Page)
Step #11
Amend ESP Module Settings and Tasks as required.

Step #12
Deploy by clicking ACTION/PUSH INSTALL to Group(s).

IMPORTANT: Pre Client Install Checklist!
- Are all machines you wish to install ESP2 client onto attached
to a Windows Domain or Active Directory?
- Do they all run protocol TCP/IP?
- Are they Windows 98SE and above?
- Is MS Client for Networks installed?
- Is File/Print Sharing enabled?
- Do they have access to the client files (i.e the #CLIENT
DOWNLOAD LOCATION)?
- Are there any conflicting applications installed?
- Will the Firewall/Proxy block ESP2 traffic? (Must have Port
TCP 445, 137-139 open Outbound and TCP 9959 for Authentium ESP2)
NOTE: Client Install Process
1- Server connects to Client on port 445 to add task
2- Server adds task
3- Task runs to launch msi installer for MAIN_ENT.MSI
4- MAIN_ENT.MSI runs
5- ESPLact runs
6- ESPLupdater connects to server and downloads msi/settings for
each module assigned to install
7- Modules install!
NOTE: Client Install Deployment Options
1- ESP2 Console 'Push to Clients'
2- Microsoft Installer MSI command line* call via batch | logon
script | email (*Using #INSTALLER FILE - Screenshot)
3- 3rd Party deployment of ESP agent
