| Almost all current
antispyware products, including products from industry
leaders, operate using "near real-time" methodologies.
This approach adopts a periodic scanning technique that
scans for spyware in common locations according to a
pre-set schedule - typically every ten seconds or less.
However, this approach, while effective for some forms
of spyware, is an inefficient use of resources, and is
not effective in stopping the most pernicious forms of
spyware.
The Authentium Real-Time Antispyware SDK utilizes
patent-pending techniques to intercept and control
more than 5,000 Windows commands. This
technique is performance-efficient, and effective
in controlling root kits, keyloggers, and other forms of malware.
